There is a trend on social media to find places in the west that look like the surface of Mars and post videos hiking it. Southern Utah has many places that feel like the red planet. If you want to jump on this trend, it might be even better if you do it in a space suit.

There is a research station in the eastern part of the state that is used to simulate living in a Martian landscape. You can’t visit this site, but that doesn’t mean you can’t feel what it would be like to walk around on this alien surface like the rovers. 

Areas of Utah and Arizona that look like Mars have become popular destinations for people looking for social media content. A recent contributor even put on a space suit to film themselves walking around the red rocks.
