Forbes Advisor did a survey of states with the most confrontational drivers. Road rage incidents have been on the rise, and they wanted to see which states are leading the charge. They asked 10,000 drivers if another driver had exited their vehicle to yell at or fight with them and if so, how often.

Utah was in the middle of the pack when it came to angry drivers with a ranking of #21 in the country. 15.5% said they had experienced road rage, while 10% said they experience road rage frequently. Utah is somewhat calm apparently, but our neighbors to the south are a different story.

Arizona tops the list at #1 for road rage. Thank goodness we have the Grand Canyon between us. Drivers surveyed in Arizona reported 31.5% had another driver accost them and the same number experience road rage very frequently. What is going on over there among the sequoias?

I can understand some rage in the Beaver Dam area of Arizona. That freeway construction has been going on forever with no end in sight. Every time I have to slow down to the teens, I want to yell at someone.

Why cant’s we be more like New Mexico who are at #41 for road rage. Everyone is driving with peace signs hanging from their mirrors apparently. Even better, to the north of us, Idaho was #49 on the list. Only Delaware did better.

Road rage is a silly thing. I think we can do better here in Utah. And I would say something to Arizona about it, but I don’t want to get yelled at.
