Inflation Busting Meal Deal Rocks

Just when I was getting resigned to paying $10 to $15 for an average lunch that includes a screen asking me to tip extra, one of my favorite places to eat in Utah, swoops in and gives me good food at an amazing price.

Right now, Arctic Circle is offering the Country Chicken Sandwich Combo for just $3.99. What? That’s the kind of price I would expect before inflation went crazy.

When I saw it, I thought it would be one of those meals where the sandwich is plain and about the size of a quarter, but that’s not how this Utah original rolls.

The chicken sandwich was a good size with mayo and lettuce and crispy hot chicken. There was a good amount of fries that were hot and crisp with pink sauce to dip in. It includes a small drink and all for under $4 bucks. Bonus, I wasn’t asked to tip.

Arctic Circle and Utah

Growing up, I don’t remember any of my friends saying they wanted to go to the place that sounded like the top of the world. I remember it always had good food and the price was reasonable. I grew up in a family full of kids and maybe that’s why my parents took us so often.

I have fond memories of going for a cone full of the best soft-serve ice cream at Arctic Circle. I have always been a fan of the establishment and here they are coming through for families again.

Maybe my fandom comes from my love for the beehive state and all it produces. The first Arctic Circle started in Salt Lake in 1950 and there are now locations throughout the state.

And if you are wondering, nobody is paying me to say this and some of you may even roll your eyes, but I think it is time this producer of yummy, well priced fast food got its due.

I lift my Diet Dr. Pepper to the place where you can get the good stuff. We fans, and so far, it might be just me, call it the Circle.
