Back-to-school is racing toward us in Utah, who will have to go back first?

What is that sound? It sounds like pencils sharpening. The rustle of backpacks, new clothes, and the excitement (and fear) of a new school year dawning upon the students of Utah.

Now, the big question: who has to go back first? It's a race, and Washington School District is in the second spot with August 15th—not good news if you were hoping to avoid it. Here comes Carbon running in with the bronze on the 16th.

Some schools are year-round, but for those of us who have been enjoying a break, here is the list of Utah school districts organized by the first day of school from the earliest date to those lucky ducks who get a few extra days, or even weeks, off:
