Look For Amazing Pastries in the Barn

If you want the best tasting apple fritters, you need to get up early.  These Giant freshly baked pastries are sold almost as soon as they are finished. You will find monstrous treats at Rowley’s Red Barn in Washington.

I talked with the person who wakes up every morning at 6 AM to make them about why they are so good. Her name is Rilee Hardy, and for full disclosure, she is my niece. She demonstrated just how big and yummy these pastries are, but she wouldn’t give the secret.

But seriously, these things are as big as your head as you can see from the picture I took of Rilee. They also make all kinds of other tasty donuts and pastries fresh every morning.

The gentleman at counter when I walked in told me how the chocolate covered ones are crammed full of custard that is amazing. He said it filled all the available space.

Don’t Expect the Wonderful Treatment I Receive at Rowley's

Fair warning, don’t think you are going to get treated like a celebrity like I do when I visit. Sure, you’ll get friendly and helpful service, but you won’t have a niece who adores her uncle and makes him a special donut like the one you see below.

Ok, the truth is Rilee actually likes my wife and probably made the donut for her. She told me she asked her co-workers to watch out for me so she can sneak out the back for a break if they see me coming.

Nevertheless, you now know the secret. Rowley’s Red Barn has amazing, huge, delicious fritters. But you better get there early and make sure they know you are not Rilee’s uncle when you walk in.

By the way, they are currently making pies for the Holidays. You have a very limited time to get those orders in. If they are like everything else at Rowley’s, your friends and family will be way impressed.
