The Best Barbecue When Visiting Zion Features a Goat
Springdale Has A lot of the Same Kind of Food
I was at Zion National Park over the weekend and stopped in Springdale to eat. I found there is a lot of delicious food available, but a lot of it is kind of the same fare at the grab-something-on-the-go places with burgers and sandwiches.
This may be what hits the spot for tourists after a day of hiking in the park. I was looking for a quick bite, but not necessarily a burger. That is when I ran across the Hangry Goat. I love the name and since it offered barbecue, my wife and I decided to stop.
All Your Barbecue Options...Except One
I had a brisket sandwich, and my wife had pulled pork. The meat was tender and well-seasoned, and the sauces were excellent. I had Kansas City Style on the brisket which was sweet with a kick. My wife went with Carolina that was tangy and delicious.
The combo came with beans, a pickle, and drink for around $17 bucks. The bun was tasty and there was a lot of meat. The beans weren’t as good, but that might be because my mother-in-law makes delicious baked beans. I don’t know if any would stand up to those.

Overall, I enjoyed the Hangry Goat. It would certainly take the edge off your hunger. The one meat I didn’t find on the menu? There was no barbecued goat and that’s probably for the best. This is a place to feed it, not eat it.
