Maybe it is because in Utah we love something sweet and healthy or perhaps because we have more kids and need help making snacks they’ll eat and we feel good about, but there is no doubt Nutella is popular in the beehive state.  

Nutella Introduces First New Flavor in 60 Years 

This recent announcement is a big deal for fans of the creamy spread. This is the first new flavor in 60 years from Nutella. They gave the news while discussing plans to build a facility in Illinois to make it in the U.S. So, what is the new flavor? 

It will involve peanuts and cocoa and is specifically designed for their North American market. The only downside is that it won’t be available until spring of 2026. That is way too long for most of us to wait. 

Success of Hazelnut Spreads Has Resulted in Multiple Products 

Nutella’s success has spawned many similar products. Here is a list of several ranked from worst to best. There is one that offers a peanut butter with hazelnut option. This is on the better side of the list, but it will cost you a bit more than Nutella.

Your other option is to do like the old Reese's commercials used to show us. Slam some Nutella together with some Jif creamy peanut butter and make your own new flavor. Maybe this can get us by until the new flavor finally hits the shelves.
