Latest Exterior Home Colors In Utah This Year
You are tired of that faded salmon color of your house. The heat has retreated and this might be a good time to give your dwelling a sharp new look. Especially as our area seems to be in a remodeling/new building craze.
One nice thing about owning a house is that it is mostly private to you and your family. You can hang your mounted fish in the kitchen, put a table lamp that looks like a lady's leg on the side table, or paint a mural of Princess Peach's kingdom in your daughter's room.
But if you have a house then you have an exterior to your house and since you have exterior walls people can see them. So choosing an exterior color is more of a public decision. We all know about houses that don’t look good, whether it be that the colors were chosen in the 2010s and the sun fade makes them look like they were chosen in the pastel 1980 pallet, or they decided to use their signature color and while it says, "individuality" it also says, "don’t visit unless you want to smell like an essential oil".
For those of us who want to make our house look new and fresh again here is a list of Sherwin Williams colors that are trending this year.
I never know what the color is until I see it, there is always a visionary who knows what is going to look incredible and I usually see their stunning work as I am cleaning the rollers off noting that I chose the wrong color yet again.
Iron Ore and Mortor: It's not quite full black or full white. The muted colors give the home a warm, neutral look and are a little kinder in the heat of summer because they don't heat up quite as much.
Smokey Topaz and Black Fox: The sharp contrast might not be for everyone, but it is bold. If this choice is too bold for your house you use it for part of your landscaping like a set-back garage.
Aged White and Westhighland White: What if you want a white home? Consider using two tones of white to differentiate the trim from the main body of your house. These are off-white so your house won't be too dazzling in the sunlight.
Aged Khaki and Superior Bronze: The bronze will give your house a green undertone that will help it stand out especially if you have greenery in your landscaping. The Khaki complements the brown base of the bronze color.
Illusive Green and Wall Street: This is a cool green and shaded blue color combination. It is a little bold but great for interesting architecture.
Cargo Pants and Software: Beige is back and Cargo Pants color is an easy way to embrace this trend. Software is a cool grey which will push the beige to a unique style that will help your house stand out.
Garret Gray Tricorn Black: This is a way to mimic the way builders have been using different texture elements that builders have been using lately. This is a take on the classic brown-and-black combination
Agreeable Grey and Snowbound: Grey and white have become a classic combination that is immensely popular. If you want that tried and true classy look, consider this combination.
