Announcement of New Actors for Harry, Ron & Hermione Has Utah Captivated
When it comes to Harry Potter fans, Utah leads the nation, and it doesn’t show any signs of slowing down. With the announcement of the actors who will be playing Harry, Ron and Hermione in the new HBO version, Utah burned down Google.
Interest in the New HBO Adaptation of Harry Potter
HBO recently announced they have found the three actors to play the leading roles in the Harry Potter series they are producing and that it will begin filming this summer. Dominic McLaughlin from Scotland will play Harry with fellow Scot Alastair Stout as Ron.
The real interest for fans in Utah and around the world was who would play Hermione Granger and that is why the name Arabella Stanton is trending. She is from London and starred on the stage as “Matilda”.

Looking at the search trends on Google, Arabella Stanton was high throughout the country, but in Utah it was off the charts. Shooting to number one on the list with 500,000+ searches and climbing.
Utah Leans in Towards Clean Epic Fantasy
Just this last Memorial Day Weekend there was an immersive Harry Potter Exhibit at South Town Mall in Sandy. This isn’t surprising at all. Utah loves this book series, but it isn’t the only epic fantasy the beehive state obsesses over.

Utah also leads the way in their fandom of “The Lord of the Rings”. If it is clean fantasy books full of dragons and heroes, you’ll find fans in Utah. HBO might just want to give a nod to Utah in their series like release a picture of Hagrid in a Utah Mammoth jersey.
