You want to eat and make healthier food for your family, surprisingly you might begin at your local Walmart Supercenter. Turns out they have some healthy options that are very affordable.

Available Oils, Sugars, Salts and Butter that are Healthier

Bobby Parish posts videos on YouTube about healthy options. Here’s some of the highlights of his trip to Walmart.

When cooking, do not use a nonstick spray with a propellent. You don’t want the chemicals that come with it. Instead get one that is labeled “non propellant”. There are also several options for healthy oils made from avocados and coconuts.

Skip the refined sugar and get coconut sugar that is good for you. It comes from the sap of the coconut blossom. Here's his take on salt. Pick kosher salt which means the crystals are bigger.

With butter you want to avoid the spreads that often come with canola oil, soybean oil and others made from seeds that are unhealthy. Read the ingredients even if it says it is healthy on the label. Walmart sells Kerrygold Irish Butter that is good for you.

The cheese is good, but you should buy it in block and grate it yourself. He says the pre grated stuff is filled with preservatives.
