Fast food establishments have begun to adapt with smaller portions and side options that fit better with those looking for protein and veggies in their meals. Adapting to the new ways people want to eat will keep restaurants profitable.

The question is whether the tasty fries we have slapped onto every meal will become a delicacy that you have to search for. Maybe the baked potato or mashed potatoes and gravy will become a fond memory.
I can picture some poor soul dragging himself across the Utah border into Idaho begging for the taste of a potato. Maybe there will be a dark street corner in the future where people swap bags of chips for cash.
