Utah’s Fry Sauce Earns A Spot Among Iconic State Foods
Unique Foods to a State
MSN has made a list of 19 foods unique to an individual state. These are foods that can only be found in a given state that locals will recognize immediately even if the rest of the nations might not.
There are impressive mentions like Kentucky’s delicious hot brown, an open-faced turkey sandwich, Louisiana with Beignet Fries and Hawaii Malasadas.
Utah Makes The MSN List of 19 Unique Foods
Utah made the list with our iconic fry sauce. I have shrugged off this local flair in the past because it seems like we are labeled negatively for this condiment. However, when I saw that this list was not all inclusive for every state I mentally pivoted and instead of hoping to avoid the stigma I started hoping we would find our place on the list. Sure enough our beloved fry sauce brought Utah unique food state fame.

Aside from the politics I have always been a fan. I like the flavor choice even though lately I have been known to go au naturel letting the fried potato and salt stand on their own.
Other State Dishes on the List
I am proud to stand with fry sauce especially when I see some of the other states claim to fame. I mean come on Missouri made the list for burnt ends of meat, Minnesota and North Dakota have to share the list for basically tater tots, and then a bunch of states just have different hamburgers. So yeah, fry sauce. I like the flavor, and I like that it is different stand for Utah.
