This New Movie Was Caught Filming In Nevada

Sure, you expect to see things like laws being passed in Nevada’s state capital, but Carson City was the location for a shoot for an upcoming movie.

The movie is “Casa Grande”, and if you are thinking I am talking about the 2023series streaming on Amazon, you are not far off. The movie is based on the series.

This has not been the only Nevada based shoot for the movie. The Casa Grande team have already filmed at Genoa Livestock in Carson Valley. If you want to get a sneak peek at the movie they are planning to shoot additional scenes in Northern Nevada, including another day in Carson. However, you will have to be clever enough to find where because the specific locations in Carson remained undisclosed, as the filmmakers opted to keep them confidential until filming was completed.

There is a chance, according to another source, that the filming has wrapped up, so maybe check the latest information before you put together your cinema-chasing road trip. If you do catch up with them you might bump into some of the stars like Lou Diamond Phillips, Madison Lawlor, Bruce Davison, Christina Moore, John Pyper-Ferguson, Kate Mansi, Lauren Swickard and others. So bring your autograph book along.

Executive Producer Ali Afshar is the executive producer for Casa Grande. He said he is not new to the area. Apparently when he was a kid his parents, who are Iranian, would take him skiing in Lake Tahoe.

Casa Grande is slated to hit theaters in 2026.
