Movies with Utah as the Setting

What is your favorite movie that takes place in Utah? I’m not talking about movies that were filmed in the beehive state, but the setting was Utah no matter where it was filmed?

What Movies Take Place in Utah?

There are many movies that have a small part take place in Utah. “Mission Impossible 2”, “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade” and “Forest Gump” are just some of these. There are also many films made for members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints that take place here.

They chose the movie “127 Hours” starring James Franco in the true story of Aron Raston. He was the man who was hiking through one of Utah’s canyons and had a boulder fall on his arm. He ended up cutting his own arm off to get free.
