Where to Go?

When you live in a vacation destination it can be hard to find places to visit during the summer break. You reach out to friends and find out they are all heading your way for their vacation.

When You Live in a Vacation Spot

I remember walking down a picturesque walkway in an outdoor mall in a spot I would call paradise. The weather was so nice, the foliage in bloom and everyone was happy to be there. As our group rounded a corner, I saw a little booth offering Lake Tahoe vacations. I chuckled which seemed to catch the attention of the guy in the booth. I asked him if it was hard to sell vacations to people who already lived in a vacation destination. He smiled, chuckled and agreed that this could be an obstacle, but then explained, “Everyone wants to get away to somewhere else when they vacation.”

Here is a list of activities near to Las Vegas that would be nice to visit.

Utah Shakespeare Festival in Cedar City Utah

Step back in time and enjoy the masterpieces of William Shakespeare as the talented actors capture the genius of his works of art. The Utah Shakespeare festival is a must see for many in our area.

Oatman Ghost Town in Arizona

Do you struggle to sleep when you hear a creak in the night? The Oatman ghost town might be too spooky for you, but if you want to peak back into history they have mannequins and historic rooms set up for you to admire.

Willow Creek Near Hoover Dam

Pack up the kayaks, load your life vests and throw on some sunscreen and hit willow beach for a refreshing break from the summer heat. Willow beach is a blast and since the water comes out of the bottom of the dam it is always crisp and cool.

Sierra Safari Zoo in Reno

If you like wild animals, you will love the Sierra Safari Zoo. It's a smaller zoo so you can get up close to these exotic animals. Its near Reno which will be a nice road trip for zoo enthusiasts.
