Freshly Made Mini Donuts And Custard Await At This New Southern Utah Dessert Place
There’s a new dessert place serving up mini donuts and custard not far from Sand Hollow State Park. You have probably driven past it several times if you live in the area, but you won’t miss it once you know where to look.

The Ropes of Southern Utah is the new rope course that has risen just off State Route 9 where you turn to go to the reservoir. It is next to Jelly Stone Park with all the waterslides. Inside the ropes course building is the new Doughnuttery.
This place cooks up mini donuts while you watch and covers them with all sorts of goodness and even provides dipping sauces. I stopped recently with some family that was in town for a dozen of the donuts along with some custard.

I talked with the owner John Hendleman about his place. “There’s nothing like this where you can watch everything get made and choose your flavors. It’s a unique experience all around,” said Hendleman.
These donuts are delicious but might be smaller than you expect. Hendleman pointed out this was a benefit. “You can eat a dozen donuts and not feel guilty about it.” There are 22 different flavor combinations and they are super delicious.
