You can have it with flour or corn tortillas. I chose flour at the recommendation of my helpful server and it was good that way. What made the difference with this street taco was the fried egg on top.

A Surprising Twist: The flavor of an Egg

At first I wasn't sure about the egg. However, it has a way of bringing all the flavors together. I salted the egg slightly and the creamy yoke mixed with the meat in a surprising way. It is hard to describe but it brought a balance to all the flavors.

Everything is made fresh at Pepper's Cantina including the chips and salsa. They were tasty and I ate them all. It is a lot of food. I would probably eat one of those tacos and take the second one home for later.

If you are a fan of street tacos, you should try this version at Pepper's Cantina in the Bloomington Courtyard. There is also a Pepper's Cantina Bar serving margaritas along side the restaurant.
