5 Features That Will Immediately Date Your Utah Home
Outdated Parts of your Home
Styles come and go in homes. Some styles can withstand the test of time and some just don't hold up. These features were all the rage at one time, but I don't think they are ever coming back in style.
Here are five of those that have become outdated and will make your home in Utah look like it came from a different era. Some of these are harder to replace than others.
Linoleum Flooring
This sticky plastic flooring will immediately take your home back to an earlier era, like the 70's. You can still find it in schools and airports. There are many options to cover this floor with a wood or a tile look.
Carpet in the Bathroom
I can't imagine why this was ever popular. Every toilet overflows at some point not to mention boys who may not have great aim. Get it out and put something that easy to clean.
Vertical Blinds
Annoying to open and close and a magnet for animals to mess up. These vertical slats immediately peg a home to a less functional time.
Popcorn Ceilings
The technique to cover flaws has become a flaw in itself. This 80s vibe is not working anymore. There are many cool ideas to replace this, although not super easy.
Tile Countertops
Even the nicest, well kept tile countertop doesn't look good anymore. Even worse if they are green with white grout. You can take the whole thing out and replace with granite or there are other options to cover it.

Now if you like any of these features, who am I to say you can't keep them. There is always the chance your passion will bring them back.
