3 Southern Utah RESTAURNTS That Could Be Big Franchises
What Makes a Restaurant Franchisable?
There are many local restaurants that serve up amazing food here in Southern Utah. Sometimes you walk into a place, and you can feel it could grow into something bigger. This is how I felt back in the late 90’s going to Cafe Rio. It wasn’t long before it became a franchise with 162 locations.
I think there are a few factors that show a restaurant’s possibilities. First, it offers a different take on the kind of food offered. Second, the building and signage look professional. And third, the place is packed most of the time you visit.
Local Restaurants with Potential as Franchises
When you want to show off your local cuisine to family or friends who are visiting, these kind of places should be on the list. Here’s the three restaurants in Southern Utah that I think have all three of these elements.
Angelica’s Mexican Grill
Although they serve Mexican food, it is not the traditional hot plate with a steaming burrito. Angelica's meats have a taste from a certain region of Mexico. The sweet pork really sets them apart as does the salsa bar.
The decorations have a unique Mexican vibe, and everything looks professional. Is it popular? If you have visited on a weekend, you already know.
Riggatti’s Wood Fire Pizza
With two locations in St. George and Washington, Riggatti’s is already expanding. They offer their own take on pizza with their Margherita and the Riggatti as stand outs.
It has a positive feel inside and out with a good-looking logo. When people visit and you want to treat them to a tasty local pizza place, Riggatti’s fits the bill.
Bear Paw Cafe
Yes, it is breakfast, but Bear Paw hits the details right. They use family recipes that have proven popular since they opened. I could easily see this as a franchise in high end shopping districts all over the country.
