Utahns Stunned: These Rock Stars Turning 60 in 2024

This year at the beginning of the football season, some on social media were surprised how some of the coaches at the press conferences looked like they had aged since the last season. Specifically, Kyle Whittingham the head coach of the University of Utah football team. He is 64 and doing well. It is funny how quickly age sneaks up on us. 

Maybe I’m more aware how quickly it happens because I am starting to feel it. I went to a concert with my wife and noted how the place was full of old people. Then I realized I kind of fit in.

Here’s a few notable people associated with Utah that I was surprised to discover had aged into their senior years when I wasn't looking. 

Former governor Gary Herbert is 76. It seems like he was governor yesterday. 

Donny Osmond is 66. Currently accomplishing more than most people half his age. 

Hall of famer Steve Young is 62. He could probably lead the Panthers to more wins than their current quarterback. 

I’m not including any women on the list. That would be rude. 

There is nothing more surprising than to find your favorite music artists are getting old. You remember when they crashed the music scene with anthems that shoved your generations' angst back in the face of the establishment. When the songs come on now you can’t help but sing along, only now they are usually background music for car commercials.
