Utah Ranks Ninth In National Survey For Dirty Tech Devices, Germs Lurking On Screens
You have probably heard your cell phone screen is dirtier than your toilet seat and you get those germs when you hold the screen to your face. Well, this isn’t good news for Utahns who are on the dirty side of the line when it comes to clean tech devices.
Utah's Rank in Device Cleanliness: A National Survey
A national survey conducted by Secure Data Recovery asked about the cleanliness of tech devices and compared them by state. Utah was #9 on the dirty list. If you are looking for clean freaks, head to South Carolina or West Virginia of all places.
The dirty side featured Nebraska in the top spot followed by Oklahoma and Virginia. These states reported less frequency in cleaning all tech devices including keyboards, the computer mouse, even the television.
Kids and Germs: A Perfect Storm for Utahns
One of the reasons Utah may be on the dirty side is the number of children in the state. When you lend your phone to a child, their hands will get all over the screen that you then put to your face and transfer those germs.
This isn’t something to become too obsessed with. You probably will end up with nothing worse than acne most of the time, but during the cold and flu season you may want to clean your device on a regular basis.

The other option is to use an actual toilet seat as a cell phone. From what they say, it is probably more clean and would be harder to lose.
