Electric Skis: Shred the Nar in Utah’s Mountains Without Snow or Hills
This new mode of transportation gives new meaning to "ski Utah". This is a new mode of transportation that lets you ski without a slope or snow. It is called the Skwheel and it is an all-terrain ski like contraption that runs on batteries.
Carving Through the Streets: Experience the Thrill
The makers of the Skwheel took six years to perfect the feeling and mechanics of skiing and put it into the wheeled contraption that buckles to your feet. It isn't like you just strapped two electric skateboards to your feet.
The turning wheels on the front let you lean into the turns pushing the edges down like you would with skis on. This gives you the ability to carve back and forth as you go down the road at 37 mph.
Versatile Terrain: From Mountains to Deserts
It has a battery that will take you 34 miles without needing a charge on their top model. The battery also gives you lights in the front and brake lights in the back. The speed and braking system is controlled with a hand held device.
The Skwheel is made for black top or off-road. Flying through Utah's mountains or in the deserts of Southern Utah could be a new sport and a great way to see these areas while getting your legs in shape for the ski season.

Buying one of these isn't cheap. Discounted pre orders are around $1,200 and $1,900 for the top model. Still, the price of a full snow ski setup is about the same price. No word yet on how it performs on the snow.
