A Transformation Is Underway At Salt Lake City Airport
The Big New SLC Airport

Salt Lake City is getting a new and improved airport that is kind of a secret. This new airport which will eventually replace the old one, but a lot of people don't even know about this new airport.
Why is the New SLC Airport So Unknown?
The secrecy behind the new airport is somewhat unintentional. It has become secret because of the nature of the project. Agreements have been made to improve the facility which continued until a remodel became a replacement project. The replacement remains somewhat unpublished because of how it is slowly rolling out.
Why the Big Changes to SLC Airport
The airport was built 60 years ago with the design to serve about half of its current load. As the nation's 20th busiest airport new updates were required. The future of the airport looks very bright as developers are building and planning state-of-the-art facilities to keep the cost low. Currently SLC airport is one of the cheapest airports for airlines and designers plan on keeping it that way.
Who Will Pay for SLC Airport Changes
In this world of taxation and passing the bill to the public it is surprising to find that the new airport will be self-funded. Equally surprising the airport has been running debt free while so many public projects have been a burden on the community.
