Should Utah Go For Wearing Underwear As Hats?
Missouri just did a major steal. They got a world record from Illinois with the classic, get a powerful museum to sponsor the world record breaking event.
That’s right the coveted Wearing Underwear as a Hat world record, also known as the upside down person in professional circles or if you want to be a bit culturally insensitive you can call it the Australian, now sits proudly in the great state of Missouri.
How did this happen and how come Utah hasn’t got their eye on this prize?
It happened like this: The City Museum in St. Louis got behind it, gathering a record smashing 355 people who were willing to wear underwear on their heads.
Then with its mega influence made clear by some other records that this museum holds including longest pencil, longest seesaw and (unofficially) the largest pair of briefs which are on display in the museum, it used it’s professional prowess to snag yet another coveted record.
I have witnessed a few attempts for world record in Southern Utah. We made a run for "Longest Backrub Chain", but that accomplishment belongs to the Philippines, and I know we fell short in the "Most Party Poppers Popped" record. Maybe we need to be looking at creative underwear wearing.

Don’t worry the underwear was not used. The City Museum purchased new unders for all of the participants. I wonder how they sized you, waist size or hat size? Another question, if you pull someone’s hat down at this event is it called a wedgie, or would you be pantsing them?
These questions and so many more can only be answered by the City Museum in St. Louis.
