Was This Carved or Is it Natural?

There is a rock formation in the Grand Canyon that looks like King Kong left his big mitt on the canyon floor. Some people think it was specifically carved to look like a hand. I have a feeling if you were to see it from another angle it would look totally different.

If you have ever been to the Grand Canyon, it is amazing to gaze out at those massive cliffs. It makes me wonder how long it would take to get so used to the canyon walls that you start looking for rock formations down below that look like a hand.

Places in the Grand Canyon Where No One Has Been

According to the site Papillon the Grand Canyon has about 1,000 caves and only about a third of them have been explored. If this is true of the caves, it makes me wonder how many of the canyon offshoots have never been visited.

This National Park covers 1,218,375 acres and goes down a mile. There may be all sorts of amazing formations to see. Thank goodness for Google Earth where we can sit on our computers when we should be working and virtually explore the place.

Speaking of, if anyone can find exactly where the big hand is from a satellite view, it would be helpful to see if there are any other body parts in the rock nearby. This would go a long way in proving if it is man made, just a rock, or a petrified giant.
