Martha Stewart Shocked the Internet with a Lobster-Chicken Creation Too Weird for Utahns
Utah might have a list of unique foods, but Martha Stewart might have put us all to shame.
Ok, yeah Utah has it’s unique foods. We love our funeral potatoes, our fry sauce, ice cream shakes and any other items you have heard or love to keep around, but we might pale in comparative uniqueness to what the Café Boulud and Maison Barnes in New York is serving up.
Martha Stewart posted this beauty on Instagram.
Yeah, it’s a mix of a Cornish hen and a lobster as one of the commentators explained in question form, "Why is that lobster wearing a chicken?"
Stewart explained that the eatery had done a fine job in displaying French art de vivre which would include the French ability to enjoy pleasurable things in a sophisticated and creative way. Creative yes, but I don’t know if the offspring of chicken and lobster parents look that sophisticated.
As you can imagine there have been many incredibly funny comments on her post calling her choice of what looks like a fancy turducken as a normal dish one would expect to find at an upscale restaurant.
What do you think? Would the arrival of this dish at your table delight your appetite and your senses or would you be tempted to call the authorities to see how this lobster was able to infiltrate the chicken coop?
For some reason memories of the 1979 movie Alien comes to mind. I don't know why.
Well, some people's delights are another diner's disturbance so I guess if you are going to go for fancy eats you should expect something like goose liver, some fish eggs and maybe even, as some people call it, a chobster.
In any case Bon Appetit.
