The dreary weather outside means it’s an excellent time to curl up with a steaming cup of hot chocolate. 

We’re going to go over a quick history of hot chocolate before going over a few places you can visit in Cedar City to grab a cup of tasty hot chocolate.

According to Hotel Chocolat.com, “In 1500 BC, the Mayans worshipped xocolatl (or bitter water) made with crushed cocoa, cornmeal, and chili pepper.”

Moving over to Europe in the 1700s, “Chocolate became popular in Europe. It spread to France and soon reached London. London had 700 widely popular drinking chocolate houses.”
