Check Out Rare Footage of St. George Utah 1980’s
Video Taken Driving Through St. George and Washington from the 80's
Someone had their camcorder running as they drove down the Boulevard in St. George and continued on Telegraph around 1987 to 88. I only say those years because they are playing an INXS album as they drive, and it was released in 1987.
If you lived in Southern Utah or traveled through during that time, these pictures will stir up some fond memories. The most amazing pictures are on Telegraph. There have been just a few changes to that area.
It is video from the 80's long before high definition. Here a shot showing St. Boulevard showing the 7-11 convenience store back when they were far more common and you could get a Slurpee on a hot day.
This was back when all the car dealers were on the Boulevard including Stanger Toyota.
St. George Boulevard and Main St. without the Zions Bank building. This was long before they added the meridian with all the trees.
When Dick's Café was on the Boulevard and you can see where Boulevard Home Furnishings just past it.
Check out Pizza Hut on the Boulevard in its prime.
This is when KFC was on the other side of the street.
This is at the intersection of Telegraph and 3050 E looking towards Costco. The only thing there is the Zions Bank building. This has changed a little bit since then.
Going East on Telegraph looking at where Home Depot and Walmart are now.
A quick glance at the Historic Cotton Mill which is now Star Nursery.
Nisson's Market. A fixture in Washington City for years.
