As my wife and I were getting our property set up for the arrival of her horses, we noticed these bones laying on the ground near what was to be the pasture area.  Perhaps I watch too much Dateline but that looks like a hip bone to me.  Wait.  That looks like a few hip bones as I look closer.  What were these people doing here?

As it turns out, I think the previous home owners had a buddy at a butcher shop and he'd keep big bones for their dog.  But while we've all unearthed a few odd things in the backyard or found strange stuff in the walls when doing a DIY rehab project, the bones caught my eye.

This is the 6th or 7th home we've owned but inside this house, there was another little something I had not seen before.  The toilet has what appears to be a garden hose coming out from under it.  They can't be watering plants with that in here.  The hose isn't long enough.  Again, it goes back to the previous home-owner.  We're told they had elderly relatives living with them and I guess having a garden hose handy is somehow helpful.

I've stayed in hotels that had a "paperless toilet option".  Like you, I had to try it.  The one provided in the hotel came with a remote control.  (Remotes are "dude candy".  We have to try it).  The elaborate hotel bathroom unit had 3 or 4 settings for the power of the water jets along with the ability to be re-directed to different areas of the private property.  Even a little blow-dryer to finish up.

Bidets are popular all over Europe but us Americans still look at them skeptically and somehow sprout a southern accent in our head as we ask, "What the heck is that?"  Probably why our European friends think we're savages.  Wait 'til they see my bone collection.
