Though Succubus could finish the problem easily, it always angered Borgin if he were first, so he leaned forward as if he were studying the numbers, taking his time to work it through.

Borgin was sitting in front of the class staring at a parchment, with a bored look on his face.
Succubus glanced to his left where Ipses was leaning forward on his knees, his flat forehead wrinkled, as he concentrated on the carefully drawn numbers he had written there. Occasionally, he would lean back, thinking and recounting certain parts of the equation.

Succubus waited for one of these moments when he wasn’t looking. He pointed his finger at one of the key numbers of Ipses’ carefully written work and created a puff of air. As it shot forward the chalky number disappeared.
Ipses finished thinking and leaned forward once again working out the next part of the problem.
Succubus waited until some of the others had finished their work. then quickly solved it and sat back as well.
He watched Ipses continue to work through his problem. The compact demon finished only to discover he did not have the correct answer. In a panic he began working through the steps again, dreading the punishment that would come from his teacher.
One by one all the students finished except Ipses, who was still frantically trying to find his mistake.
