How would you like to pocket an extra $10,000 for the sale of your home by adding some backyard features. Zillow reported with a few improvements that make your backyard a nice place to be, can up the resale value of your home significantly.
This doesn’t mean you have to rip out the grass and start over, just some small additions can make your backyard more enticing. Here are three of their suggestions that wouldn’t break the bank.
Outdoor Shower
Plumbing an outdoor shower isn’t as hard as you would think, and it makes your yard more interesting. Plus, you get the added benefit of cleaned off kids before they enter your house.
An outdoor shower kit can run you anywhere from a couple hundred bucks to $3,000. There are also plenty of DIY ideas on YouTube.
Television On the Patio
A cabinet to secure the TV against the weather costs $341.00. Now if you want one that rises from a special cabinet, that will run you in the $1,000. Still, just grabbing a flat screen from Costco and hanging it on an outside wall will make your patio feel like a place to hang out.
Pizza Oven
Making your own pizza can be a fun thing to do with guests. A metal oven that uses wood or propane can run you anywhere from $100 to $300 bucks. If you want a brick one, it can get pricy unless you do a DIY version.
