Congratulations to Russel who correctly guessed Maroon 5 "Memories" as the backwards playing song!

Every Friday John & Dave give away $100 on Star 98 thanks to the good folks at Grass Creek Construction. This week we are doing some backmasking where we will play a song backwards.

Hidden Message Heard on Certain Songs

The history of how band put hidden messages on record albums by recording audio and flipping it backwards and mixing it into the songs is interesting and kind of funny. It was mostly a gimmick to freak out the establishment and sell records.

We don't plan on putting any secret messages into the song, but we do want to see if you can recognize it when it is played backwards. We will take a song we play on Star98 and flip it around.

Here's How You Can Win the Money This Friday on Star 98

Starting in the 7:00 AM hour we will play a small snippet of the song. We will then take a caller to see if they can guess. We will continue to play more of the song throughout the morning show and take callers until someone recognizes it.

The number to call is 435-986-9899. We will take a random caller each time we open up the lines. We won't be responsible for dropped calls or bad connections.

That person who gets through with the right answer wins the $100 from Grass Creek Construction. We couldn't do this without them and we appreciate their generosity.
