The Books Just Aren’t Selling Anymore

Costco has announced that starting the first of the year the majority of their stores will no longer sell books for most of the year. They will still offer book titles during the Holiday season but otherwise, that space will be filled by other items.

It isn’t that they don’t want to sell books at Costco. They say book sales have slowed down, and this section needs to be stocked regularly by an associate. Costco plans to replace it with items that can be placed there using a forklift and will make that section more profitable.
