Utah Won’t Even Flinch As Disney + Tightens Password Sharing Security
Disney + has decided to tighten its policies on password sharing, but Utah doesn’t need to worry about the inconvenience.
The Reasoning Behind the Increase in Security
Disney + decided to crackdown on password sharing in part because when Netflix did, they saw a bump in new subscribers. This clearly indicated that there were many future customers that were not signed up but consuming with someone else’s password.
Oops, like getting caught with street candy in the theater.
This information has encouraged other streaming services to take similar measures.
Tightened password sharing security won’t even phase Utahns
While Disney+ tightens the screws on password sharing, Utah is about to steal the spotlight for all the right reasons.
Picture this: amidst the chaos of streaming swindlers, Utah emerges as the shining beacon of virtue. OK, maybe that is a little over the top, but in a 2012 poll only 23% of Utahns said they regularly sneak a peek with someone else's account.
The Competition
That is far and away the lowest of any state in the country. Meanwhile, Ohio seems to have taken a crash course in streaming shenanigans, boasting a whopping 59% of residents with their fingers in the communal digital popcorn bucket. Sorry, Ohio!
So, while the rest of the country scrambles to cover their tracks, Utah's honesty level remains as steady as the growing line at the Radio Springs Racer Ride in California Adventure. OK, we are not blame free I mean 23% isn't quite 0%, but comparatively, which is not the best way to measure honesty, we are doing pretty good. Disney+, consider your password fortress invaded...with honesty, well at least by 77% of Utahns.
