Utah Is Top 5 For Seasonal Allergies This Simple Tip Might Make It Even Better
Utah is a sweet space for allergies, or is it?
If you suffer from seasonal allergies, you should move to Utah. According to Wyndly it is one of the best states for allergy sufferers. Here is the list of the top best states for allergies in 2023.
1 Arizona
2 New Mexico
3 Nevada
4 Utah
5 California
In short, the dry states of the west.
Do you agree with this list? I have the joy of seasonal allergies and some years it is bad enough that I swear through my tears and shallow breathing that I am going to move to a state that doesn’t affect me. We have had the luxury of living in different areas and I found two things.
First
The first season in a new area I do pretty well. It’s like it takes a while for my intolerances to build up.
Second
The more humid areas are surprisingly easier on me. When we lived in Houston even though stuff grew like a jungle, the pollen seemed to get trapped by the heavy air and maybe by other foliage. I don’t know if this is accurate or if my allergies didn't catch up to me, but I felt great year-round. I felt the same relief when on the wetter coasts of California, back when the coast got humid.
It seems like even though Utah has less plants the dryness allows stuff to blow around more freely.
If you are a big time sufferer in the spring try a few weeks to months living in a more humid area, or maybe more practically keep a humidifier going at your domain and see if that helps.
