Thunder Junction Park in St. George To Double In Size With New Prehistoric Play Areas
If you have enjoyed Thunder Junction All Abilities Park in St. George there is good news. Starting this summer, the city is planning on doubling the size of it. Expect to see mammoths, saber tooth tigers, and an asteroid in the near future.
Exciting Expansion at Thunder Junction All Abilities Park
This has been a popular place for families in St. George with theme park like play areas and a train that goes in a half mile loop around the whole thing. It is free to enter and play as long as you like with water features and fun imaginative playgrounds.
Now the city has started Thunder Junction Phase II that will double the size of the park. Macrae Heppler keeps people up to date on all the changes around Southern Utah and shows what the new phase will include.
Introducing Thunder Junction Phase II
There will be an area for mini trampolines, sand play, along with a mammoth and saber tooth playgrounds. This will all be built in the open area where the train currently loops. It will also have a pavilion, restrooms, and fossil walk.
These swings and slides are designed for every child’s ability. This is such a great feature to have in St. George, and it is awesome to see it expanding. The plan is to get started on the 2nd phase this summer.
