Thrilling Halloween Movie Series: Filmed Right Here In Utah
If you need help getting scared this year maybe you should take a tour of the locations where some of the iconic Halloween movies were filmed, right here in Utah.
Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers, Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers, and Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers used our spooky landscape to help tell their haunted tales.
Follow Dr. Loomis as he tries to track down the elusive Michael Myers through the river bottoms of Highway 39 in Ogden.
Check out the haunting sanitarium where Michael escaped to do his nasty Halloween killings. It's actually an apartment building in Salt Lake City.
Our roads are classic for that fall bare tree look in the fall and the potential for eerie happenings that the Halloween movie franchise needed.
Even though the story was supposed to have occurred in Illinois schools in Utah gave a nice feel for the stories.
How about this house? It was used in Halloween 4 and 5 and looks like it might be haunted today.
Utah front porches are well suited for that classic Trick or Treat scene. An innocent set up for the deadly scenes that are about to take place.
Though many of the sets are in different locations and have been updated there are quite a few locations that have identifiable pieces that were in the films.
So take a tour of the scenes of the old Halloween franchise or look for areas around you that would be a good place to film a Halloween movie and maybe that will help you start to fill the thrill of the season.
