The America First Performing Arts Center celebrated the renovation of the former Cox Auditorium with new aisles, a balcony, and a 9 foot CFX Yamaha Concert Grand Piano. With this amazing instrument, they welcomed Yamaha artists to come and perform.
A Grand Addition: The Yamaha Concert Grand Piano
Artists like Elton John, Alicia Keys, John Legend, and many more perform exclusively on Yamaha pianos. Having this amazing instrument in the new performing arts center at Utah Tech University is a big addition to the venue.
To celebrate the new center, they welcomed William Joseph, who is a Yamaha artist, to perform with other other stars including Derek Hough from "Dancing with the Stars". The enhanced acoustics and the new venue made for a memorable night.
Innovative Technology: Yamaha Disklavier Pianos
Along with the 9 foot grand, they also have two Yamaha Disklavier pianos that can record a performance and play it back at any time. This is the one Disney had Elton John play that simultaneously broadcast to five other pianos at locations around the country.
It is fine tuned to a minute level to recreate exactly what the original artist played. It is an amazing instrument and you can see it play in the lobby of the America First Performing Arts Center in St. George, Utah.

The Piano Gallery is one of the top five Yamaha dealers in the United States with a location in Bloomington. In the past, if a Yamaha artist came to perform, they would borrow a piano from the location. Now that is no longer needed.
