Veterans Day is coming November 11th and here’s some of the businesses stepping up to show their appreciation for those who serve and have served. These are restaurants offering to cover meals for veterans on that day. 

A Way to Honor and Thank All Those Who Have Served in the Armed Forces 

One of the ways to demonstrate appreciation for our military vets is by picking up the tab for their meal. Here is a list compiled by Pete Carter of restaurants offering free meals to veterans. He notes that some require ID. 

Take-out available: 

Wendy's breakfast - any breakfast sandwich, drink, and a side of fried potatoes 

In-N-Out burger - any burger, fries, and drink 

Lil Caesar's Pizza - personal pepperoni pizza plus 20 oz. drink 

 Pick up voucher: 

Texas Roadhouse - from 11 to 2, get in drive-through lane, show ID, get voucher while in car, good until 5/31/2026, dine-in also available - dinner choices same as Early-Dine 

Freddy's Steakburgers - walk in, pick-up card, good through 12/31/2025, good for Freddy's combo meal 

 Dine-on only (ID required unless noted): 

Golden Corral - free dinner served 4 to 9 p.m., ID not needed 

Applebee's - free meal, order from select menu 

Buffalo Wild Wings - 10 boneless "wings" plus fries 

Chili's - free meal from select menu list

Cracker Barrel - free Sunrise Pancake Special, served all day

Denny's - free Original Grand Slam, served from 5 a.m. to noon

IHOP - free pancake [combo], from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Olive Garden - free entree (plus salad or soup), choose from special menu 

Red Lobster - six Walt's Favorite Shrimp plus fries and coleslaw

Red Robin - Red's Big Tavern Burger plus bottomless side.
