Chapter 12 Overthrown by Fire 80

Raising both hands Borgin formed a massive body of potential air that combined with fire would consume Succubus. He brought all the flame he could drag from the cracks in the room and the torches. The heat from the large fireball caused the other students in the room to wilt even more. With both arms raised, Borgin brought the fire and released the air directing it down on his kneeling student.

Succubus was prepared. He had expanded his funnel, already formed, above his head, widening the opening and leaving the end as narrow as before.

Lessons Learned

The flame shot towards Succubus’ head with a roar. But once again, at the last second it took a new direction towards Borgin, coming out of the end of the air tube like a white-hot blow torch. This time there was no escape for the demon teacher. He was engulfed in focused flame, torching his skin and melting his robes. Its strength was terrible, and it burned for an extended period of time.

When the fire had finally spent its strength and went out, Borgin lay on the rocky floor naked and moaning. Even a flame that hot and intense will not kill a demon, but it will blacken and discolor his skin like fire does to rock. It will also inflict horrific pain.

The other young demons looked up in amazement from their positions around the wall. Succubus cleared his throat. “Excuse me sir...teacher...Borgin, sir? I’m not sure we all saw that example. Could you do it one more time?”
