Really Utah? This Is The Vacation Spot You Search For?
When work gets overwhelming and burdensome, many of us start googling vacation destinations. Sometimes just dreaming of getting away by looking at pictures of beaches and high-end hotels can make things seem better.
NextVacay.com analyzed vacation spots people were googling in each state. This fairly unscientific approach provided some surprising results. Idaho and Colorado were searching vacation sites about India. Arizona and Illinois were checking out Brazil and Nevada sought out destinations in Canada. Don’t go too crazy in the silver state.
So, what country was Utah putting into their browser for a possible vacation? What sunny spot has captured our desires? The United Arab Emirates. I would not have guessed that. According to the site, it was also the most popular destination searched for the rest of America.
Containing both Abu Dhabi and Dubai, the UAE is the most searched-for country for a vacation in the USA. Nine states in total had a UAE city as their top location, so this country is evidently doing a great job of bringing in tourists. Its rich culture paired with its ultramodern cities makes it a completely unique destination to travel to, so if you’re thinking about your next vacation, this could be the one.
Italy and France were popular searches as well as Singapore. Israel, Greece, Brazil and Portugal squeezed into the list here and there. Apparently, nobody is interested in Russia or Antarctica though.
I don’t know that I have ever thought about looking for vacation destinations in the UAE. Seeing that other people in Utah are looking into it, has made me curious. It’s time to open a browser and take a break.
