REALLY? Expert Says This is the Best Campsite in Utah
Is this really the best campsite in all of Utah? This outdoor site picked the best place to camp in every state in America and the place they selected for Utah isn’t one you might have guessed.
Utah is Full of Great Places to Sleep in Great Outdoors
It would be really hard to pick one place in Utah that is the best for camping. In my own experience of camping all over the state from Lake Powell to the High Uintas, I don’t know if I could narrow it down to one.
However, I don’t know that this spot in Canyonlands National Park would be high on my list. They say the best camping in Utah is at the Needles Campground in Canyonlands. It does look nice, but is it the best?
They looked at campgrounds that were in national or state parks. They say this place has good amenities like picnic tables and fire rings and it has a lot of hiking opportunities close to the campground to explore.
It kind of looks like a hundred other places in Utah. Almost any campground in the state offers these exact same things.
My Personal Best Camping Spots
I don’t love camping in the set-up locations where there are numbered spots and metal fire rings. I like something a little more rugged even though the plumbed restrooms beat a shovel and a roll of TP by a mile.
I loved camping on the sandstone at Lake Powel by laying a sleeping bag on a lounge chair although it can get uncomfortable if it rains. Any high mountain lake in Utah can be a treat. There are so many great places in Utah it is hard to narrow one down.
