We got a BINGO! Rynn Riley was able to block out 5 numbers on his odometer and won the $100 in gas from Grass Creek Construction.

This coming Friday John & Dave will give away $100 in gas on Star 98 thanks to the good folks at Grass Creek Construction. We'll be playing a game called "Odometer Bingo".

The current numbers drawn are:

7, 2, 8, 8, 2, 8, 4, 3

If you have those numbers on your odometer, block them off.

The Odometer on Your Dash is Your Bingo Card

It's a pretty simple game. Just like in bingo, you try to block out squares to get five in a row. This time, instead of having a game card, you play with your odometer in your car. It may help to take a picture of it before hand.

Starting at about 7:10 AM John & Dave will begin drawing numbers from 1 to 9 on the radio. If you have the number called is on your odometer, you block it out. If you get five in a row, call the radio station at 435-986-9899 and yell "Bingo!".

The numbers have to be together and our judges will verify the win. All rulings are final and we won't be responsible for dropped phone calls or other blah blah blah.

Here's How It Will Sound With John & Dave on Friday Morning

Dave: It is time to draw another number for our game of odometer bingo. Get ready to update your board, or odometer. John draw a number.

John: (rattle rattle) The number is 9. That is a 9 as in 9-iron.

Dave: Very good. If that gives you five numbers in a row on your odometer, call us now at 435-986-9899 and you will get the $100 gas card from Grass Creek Construction.

LOOK: See how much gasoline cost the year you started driving

To find out more about how has the price of gas changed throughout the years, Stacker ran the numbers on the cost of a gallon of gasoline for each of the last 84 years. Using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (released in April 2020), we analyzed the average price for a gallon of unleaded regular gasoline from 1976 to 2020 along with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for unleaded regular gasoline from 1937 to 1976, including the absolute and inflation-adjusted prices for each year.

Read on to explore the cost of gas over time and rediscover just how much a gallon was when you first started driving.
