Pepsi Commercial from 2003 Brought Two Unlikely Singers Together
A funny commercial that introduced Pepsi Twist featured Ozzy Osbourne and his two kids. In it they unzip cans of regular Pepsi to show the new twist flavor. They then unzip themselves to reveal they are really Donny and Marie Osmond.Donny says he and Ozzy talked the last time when they were both on Dancing with the Stars and it was there the singer of “Crazy Train” and “Bark at the Moon” expressed his admiration for an Osmond hit from the 70s.
There Something Crazy About This Tie Between Two Singers
The song was “Crazy Horses” from 1972 from the Osmonds which was a hit in England and reached #14 in the U.S. It is an energetic pop rock anthem to...horses or something. Some countries banned it, thinking it referenced drugs, ironic for an Osmond song.
Does knowing Ozzy was a fan of this song increase or decrease your respect for the Prince of Darkness? Watching the song again, I can see why he said he liked it. It kind of slaps in a mindless 70s way.

I really wish Ozzy had covered the song. I can almost hear Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Lommi playing one of his loaded riffs that put the heavy in metal. And I can hear Ozzy’s unique wails about crazy horses lighting up the sky, mournfully making it soar.
