One of the ways you can become a Gen Z influencer on TikTok is to take something people have been doing forever and rebrand it with a new name and act like it is a brilliant new idea. You then create videos of yourself doing your new discovery and show the benefits. Soon your amazing new idea is being copied by others and it grows from there.
Here are a couple of examples. "Silent walking" is a new trend on social media. This is where you take a walk without saying anything while focusing on your next step and breathing. It is supposed to be good for you mentally...and people have been doing it since the beginning of time. It’s called taking a walk or hiking by yourself. Give it a cool new name and treat it like a new thought and people are clicking.
Another is called "bed rotting". This is when you spend an extended time in your bed pampering yourself while reading or watching a series. This is also something to help you recover a sense of self. Or as it used to be called, laying around in bed all day. Again, something that has always been done by people, especially when they have been sick. New name, treat it like a new concept, your video is now trending.
I want to make someone here in Utah the next big thing. Here are some ideas I came up with of things people have been doing forever with a new name. All you have to do is shoot a video of yourself doing the activity and extolling the amazing benefits. You don’t have to give me any credit as you grow in popularity. New Name: Rest Day Tripping
Benefits: My weekend seems less rushed.
Activity: Sleeping
New Name: Dark Soaking
Benefits: I can do this for hours and it’s amazing how refreshed I feel afterwards.
Activity: Join the circus
New Name: Three Ring Affixing
Benefits: I feel far away from my day-to-day troubles that used to plague me.
Activity: Fly a Kite
New Name: Chord Imbued Aviating
Benefits: I soar with this simple task and feel rejuvenated with the wind on my face.
