People have been fixing teeth for some time and surprisingly, Dentists and careers associated with dentistry are finding it hard to fill positions. Depending on where you are willing to move, there are places in the U.S. that have a shortage people doing this work.

Where There is the Biggest Need for People in the Dental Field

Clarity Capital looked at dental practices in the country and found that current practices is not keeping up with demand in many areas. It isn’t isolated either. Here are some of what was found:

  • 1 in 4 patients face delays due to a nationwide dentist shortage
  • 60% of dental practices are currently hiring, and 84% of them say it's hard to fill roles.
  • 72% report dentist shortages in their area, and 57% say shortages are causing patient delays

Some of this has to do with the cost and years it takes to become a dentist, and some is that the demand is growing faster than offices can staff for it.
