It could be even worse in tech-loving Utah, as our area ranks high among US states for technology use. So, what’s the fix? There’s a simple exercise to counteract all those hours spent with your neck craned at a 45-degree angle—what some call "tech neck."

The exercise is called a chin tuck and can be done sitting, standing or lying down and it is as easy as binge watching your latest favorite series on your phone.

How to Do Chin Tucks:

1. Get Comfy: Start by lying down on a mat in a comfortable position. Look straight up towards the sky or ceiling.

2. Tuck That Chin: Slowly draw your chin straight back towards your neck. Think about trying to create a double chin. Move your head back, but keep your eyes level. Try not to tip your head up and down as you go.

3. Hold It: Keep that position for five to 15 seconds. You should feel a stretch, gently near the base of your skull.s.

4. Relax: Return to the starting position to release the hold.
