August 21, 2026 there was a voluntary recall of wet dog food made by Family foods. There was potential for metal contamination in the canning process.

They recalled 3,582 cases from the Turkey Pate and 1,973 cases of Fromm Diner Classics Milo's Meatloaf. This metal can make the dog vomit, be lethargic, and have issues with its digestive tract.

On August 20, 2026 Allprovide Pet Foods announced a voluntary recall of 1,500 pounds of its Holistic Pet Food. Pet owners online reported their dogs having trouble with their vision. They have recalled the fresh meals to analyze what may be happening to these dogs.

August 12, 2026 Oma's Price recalled 6-pound bags of Woof Complete Canine Chicken. This is a frozen raw dog food and it has been recalled for possible salmonella after several cases of pets getting sick were reported.
