Chapter 9 Falling Rocks Installment 53

Ghamegis flinched at the big demon’s volume and Ipses, who still lay on the floor, muted his moaning.

“If you two are bent on flattening each other’s faces, by the way you’re losing that one Ipses, you can sleep in the hall.” Although his tone was humorous both knew he would carry out his threat.

His two self-appointed lieutenants looked sheepish as they climbed back onto their respective slabs of rock.

Then Succubus turned to Ghamegis, “Don’t throw anymore rocks at Ipses’ head,” holding his hand out flat he said, “If you dent it, we won’t be able to use it as a table to set things on.”

Ipses shot a dark look at Succubus before lying back on his bed and closed his eyes, still rubbing the lump on his forehead.

Excitement Leads to More Discovery

Lying back on his own bed, Succubus tried to close his eyes to sleep. The commotion in the room had settled down and it grew quiet once again, but the exhilaration he felt from his success at lifting the rocks kept him awake.

After a time, he began again to lift the rocks on the far side of his bed. He experimented with raising two at a time, moving them around like small planets. He was getting a better feel for manipulating the air.
