The Power Play Continues

Succubus' teacher does not seem to like his talented student. Succubus clearly works a formula correctly and faster than the class, but you will be amazed at how his teacher reacts. Chapter 6 A Painful Lesson Learned Installment 31

Succubus thought how much he would like to curse Borgin. When they were away from the classroom in their quarters, some of the others his age spent their time reviewing their classroom work, trying to understand it better, but Succubus would lay on the rock that was his bed, chewing on cooked roots and trying to figure out how to manipulate the elements. He would hold his hand out and demand the air to move. It didn’t do any good though. No matter how he tried, he couldn’t make it work.

Waiting for his instructor, Succubus thought how outside of the classroom his life was easy. He was the biggest and the brightest and the others his age did his bidding. Inside the classroom was another story.

That's Not Fair

Borgin finally moved behind him, “First one done, and first one wrong,” he said.

Succubus was so tired of taking the abuse from Borgin . He knew the answer was correct and his back stiffened.

“In your haste you have once again made a mess. Erase this embarrassment.” Borgin raised his hand, and a swoop of air took away all of Succubus’ work.

“Begin again,” said Borgin. “We will wait while you do. Go slowly this time so you don’t exhaust what little brain power you possess.” He returned to the front of the classroom looking pleased with himself.

With a sigh, Succubus leaned forward and began working the problem again.
